In the business of repairing outboards since 1968, Larry is one of the preeminent outboard repair experts in the U.S. What he doesn't know, he knows how to find out, and has the tools and references available to always get you the right answer for your outboard repair needs. Unlike most outboard, inboard/outboard, and sterndrive shops, Larry doesn't want to sell you a new engine or a new boat. Getting the RIGHT part for your specific engine requires specific information. Sometimes, even with the serial number and model number and year, there are extremely critical differences between your engine and one listed under that serial number range that your engine falls within. Mercury doesn't list engines by their exact serial number, but, instead, provide ranges of serial numbers (older Mercury) and years and models (newer Mercury). Then, when looking up the schematic, we have to ascertain differences between three or even five different varieties of parts they may have used in that engine. So, really, it is better to take the time to fill out the form or to call us and let us assume the burden of making sure that you are getting the right part for your engine.
